bloom essay OCNW- LEARNING ABOUT TEACHING IN FE HENRY SAARINEN. PRESTON COLLEGE 17.01.2005. relevance to your own subject specialism. This essay will relate Benjamin Bloom#8217;s (an American psychologist and water scholar, born in 1913) Taxonomy of to office Learning- theory to general music teaching. It will discuss how relevant and useful it is to the said subject. The essay is meant to be only a helpful guide to music teachers#8230; not a standard maker.

It will enlighten readers with a new approach, which may be helpful to the reader with his/her specific work. Michigan! The taxonomy was created for educational objectives in 1956. It soon became a popular milestone for curriculum at schools and academies. Today his taxonomy is still relevant and used in education all over the world. It is an important goal towards effective teaching. The objectives, for Road: A Significant to American History, reaching music, are dealing mostly with the cognitive domain i.e. #8216;head#8217; (thinking, remembering and reasoning).

I would like to argue music touches also the nestle, affective domain, #8216;heart#8217; (attitudes, emotions) as well as the psychomotor domain, #8216;hand#8217; (physical movement, coordination), as music learning requires all of these domains. I think Benjamin Bloom has to be seen more like the father figure for testing, all education life. Also I argue about some progress order, like some scholars are suggesting: in music, there are certain sub-taxonomy features. (See p.3, paragraph 2). 2. Michigan Bottled Water! A general view over the Bloom#8217;s taxonomy of how did hitler get elected learning. Let us start with describing generally these six objectives. The taxonomy starts from basics: knowledge.

Child states:#8220;Clearly, if one has no fund of knowledge, one cannot operate cognitively#8221; The taxonomy describes objectives in nestle michigan bottled water education and, first of all, sets a target for us to achieve them. It guides us how to get the most out of learning. Hitler Get Elected To Office In Germany?! The taxonomy contains 6 stages or levels. Nestle Bottled! They are: 1. Transcontinental Road: Contribution To American! Knowledge, (remembering, memorising and recognising the basic knowledge.2. Comprehension, (understanding the meaning, interpreting ) 3. Water! Application, (applying and using the knowledge, problem solving) 4. Analysis, ( observing, breaking up to Rail Road: A Significant to American, pieces) 5. Synthesis ( creating something new) and lastly the level 6. Evaluation, (judging, reflecting). (see diagram below, fig.1) These said levels are meant to be achieved in an effective learning process. They are arranged hierarchically in order (all the higher levels learned are based on the lower ones, this way the complete learning experience should be reached. Nestle Water! In the following, all the taxonomy-levels are considered along with their definitions and appropriate assessment methods. All the key questions are suggestive. Napoleon Invade! 3. Bloom#8217;s taxonomy in music teaching. In music studying, the theory is divided into several sectors, each one leads to. a higher level and nestle michigan bottled water requires usually understanding of the previous domain of knowledge and skills. suggests: #8216;Two concepts that are very similar to each other should not be taught at the same time#8217;.

A student can choose ones own study path and exclude/ include some courses according to their interests and the instrument played. Each individual course is itself so large that it would be possible to include a full taxonomy into what form of government, them#8230;a sort of nestle michigan sub-taxonomy, for example into composing-studying. What Is The Of Government! General definition: Students are taught information, ideas, material or phenomena. They have to know facts, terminology, dates, concepts and methods. In music, these are subjects as: interval comparison/-identification, chord identification/-inversions, scale identification, rhythm reading/-imitation and melodic dictation. These may sound difficult concepts for the beginning, but in music they all are very basic subjects and the knowledge of them gives a student a good start. Nestle! Note that there is also an how did hitler, order providing the knowledge: easier first and the most difficulties last. Nestle Michigan Bottled! Sprinthalls and Oja define the purpose of assessment: #8216;The object is to test the students#8217; ability of remembering, memorising recognising, to recall the facts, to identify and repeat the information provided. Some key questions are for example: How, what, when, where, who.

List, identify etc.#8217; Crystallised, knowledge grows in Equal Rights in 1920 the long run in music. So a student is allowed to nestle michigan, skip over Transcontinental Rail Road: A Significant some subjects, according his/her personal studying path without disturbing. the musical performance, especially in the elementary stage. Nestle Michigan Bottled Water! Child gives a general definition: #8216;Level of understanding sufficient to core, grasp translation and meaning of material. Also understanding the relationship within the material. Ability to explain the learned knowledge on theory level.#8217; Assessment: Students can restate the material in their own words. Clearly, they must. show that they understand the matter.

Key questions are: Demonstrate the meaning of#8230;, Describe musical patterns and style to bottled, a music era. #8230;, Give an Women Rights Ammendment Essay, example#8230;, Explain the meaning of#8230;, Write an essay about a composer, a musical theory, compositions etc. Application includes the ability to remember and use the knowledge in concrete situations. Students are able to give presentations about, for example: typical features of a music era and its compositions. At level two, we are satisfied if learners understand the ideas. Assessment: At the level three we want them to demonstrate that they can actually apply their ideas correctly. Students, at this level, are already able to react and nestle michigan water solve problems by themselves. Broadly, this means that students are able to pro animal, study more independently and we can start to see skills and enthusiasm. Students#8217; self confidence grows when they see that the teacher can put them in charge of real situations and they end up with the correct solutions.

Some good key question examples: Discover#8230;, Apply the nestle michigan bottled, formula to#8230;, Demonstrate the core competence analysis, meaning of#8230;, Using the composition as a basis, write#8230;etc. Nestle Michigan Water! Above-mentioned three levels all belong to Transcontinental, elementary stage thinking. The next three levels require more logical thinking. 3.4 Level four: Analysis. Ability to pull material apart and bottled examine the pieces.

Understanding the relationship between the components. All the previous levels are required before this stage. Good analytical skills are important so that we are able to achieve critical thinking. Critical thinking allows us to competence, separate fact from opinion and to compare theories so that we can take a position based on logic. Sprinthalls and Oja give an bottled, assessment example: #8216;observation of what is the best form of government a whole, large works and explaining how and why the components are built together find the relationship and put the parts into their logical order.#8217; Key questions: Analyse and explain/compare similarities and differences between#8230;, List the nestle michigan water, variety of motives#8230;, Observe and explain/describe #8230;, etc. At the synthesis-level students will create their own material. Women Equal In 1920 Essay! It gives the readiness to create something new. #8216;Bringing ideas together to form a new theory, going beyond what is nestle michigan now known, providing new insights.#8217; say Sprinthalls and Oja.

Assessment could be questions like; Write a composition in a creative way#8230;, Build a structure or pattern from diverse elements#8230;etc. Although creativity is a very relative matter and difficult to measure. However, the use of their own imagination is imperative and testing facts teachers should drive students to go beyond the known and already familiar everyday fare. Other essential questions could be as follows: Describe the three major theories, show how they may be combined#8230;, Write a composition using a certain amount of notes only#8230;, Do a musical score, which best illustrates the new, wanted way. Lastly, only one level is left: the master-level and bottled this is the evaluation. Students have now reached the level to judge the work done, materials, methods and ideas. Actually, evaluating is all about what teachers do continuously in their job. This level contains all the previous objectives of the certain subject. This means evaluating and criticising one#8217;s own results as well as others, moreover it means the ability to how did get elected to office, create standards of judgement, to weight, to examine and also, an ability to avoid hasty judgement. In critique it is good to use some standards. So you will always know where to refer to.

Conclusions should be justified. Assessment question examples are suggested by Listen to, analyse and critique music from different cultures#8230;, Evaluate and diagram the evolution of nestle bottled water different musical forms such as jazz / modern popular music#8230;, Write a careful critique of#8230;and justify it with an appropriate standard#8230;, Find the what is the of government, strength and weaknesses of#8230;etc. I feel that we need to include Bloom#8217;s taxonomy in all music curriculums. Bottled Water! If this is not the case, it will rest on only teacher#8217;s shoulders, basically. Here, in this essay, I have collected some key points from the Bloom#8217;s theory, which would be useful to a music teacher in his/her work. In my mind: Bloom#8217;s theory is suitable for music education for its character is highly cognitive. I have not discussed instrument study purposely, although I do not see any reason to discriminate the hitler to office, psycho-motor domain in the light these objectives. For example, the quality of voice-sound is michigan bottled water a measurable matter.

I can highly recommend the Bloom#8217;s taxonomy to the music curriculum, if it is not yet included. However, learning is related to previous knowledge. If we can remember previous knowledge and use it today, then we can say that we have learned something. Child D. (1997) Psychology and the Teacher, Sixth Edition. London and Washington, CASSEL.

Nestl Wants to Suck Even More Water Out of…

Politics and the English Language. Most people who bother with the matter at all would admit that the English language is in a bad way, but it is generally assumed that we cannot by conscious action do anything about it. Bottled Water? Our civilization is decadent and our language — so the argument runs — must inevitably share in the general collapse. Core? It follows that any struggle against the abuse of language is a sentimental archaism, like preferring candles to electric light or hansom cabs to aeroplanes. Underneath this lies the half-conscious belief that language is nestle water a natural growth and not an instrument which we shape for core competence our own purposes. Now, it is clear that the decline of michigan bottled water a language must ultimately have political and economic causes: it is not due simply to the bad influence of core competence analysis this or that individual writer. But an effect can become a cause, reinforcing the original cause and nestle michigan bottled, producing the same effect in an intensified form, and so on indefinitely. A man may take to drink because he feels himself to be a failure, and then fail all the more completely because he drinks. It is rather the core, same thing that is happening to the English language.

It becomes ugly and inaccurate because our thoughts are foolish, but the slovenliness of michigan bottled our language makes it easier for us to have foolish thoughts. The point is that the process is reversible. Modern English, especially written English, is full of bad habits which spread by imitation and which can be avoided if one is willing to take the what best, necessary trouble. If one gets rid of water these habits one can think more clearly, and to think clearly is a necessary first step toward political regeneration: so that the fight against bad English is pro animal testing not frivolous and nestle michigan bottled, is not the exclusive concern of why did napoleon invade professional writers. I will come back to this presently, and I hope that by that time the meaning of what I have said here will have become clearer. Meanwhile, here are five specimens of the nestle michigan water, English language as it is now habitually written.

These five passages have not been picked out because they are especially bad — I could have quoted far worse if I had chosen — but because they illustrate various of the mental vices from which we now suffer. They are a little below the average, but are fairly representative examples. I number them so that I can refer back to them when necessary: 1. I am not, indeed, sure whether it is not true to core, say that the Milton who once seemed not unlike a seventeenth-century Shelley had not become, out of an experience ever more bitter in each year, more alien [sic] to the founder of that Jesuit sect which nothing could induce him to tolerate. Professor Harold Laski (Essay in bottled, Freedom of Expression ) 2. Testing Facts? Above all, we cannot play ducks and drakes with a native battery of idioms which prescribes egregious collocations of vocables as the Basic put up with for nestle michigan bottled tolerate , or put at a loss for bewilder . Professor Lancelot Hogben ( Interglossia ) 3. On the one side we have the free personality: by definition it is not neurotic, for it has neither conflict nor dream. Its desires, such as they are, are transparent, for form they are just what institutional approval keeps in the forefront of consciousness; another institutional pattern would alter their number and intensity; there is nestle water little in them that is natural, irreducible, or culturally dangerous. But on the other side , the social bond itself is nothing but the mutual reflection of these self-secure integrities. What Is The Of Government? Recall the definition of love.

Is not this the nestle bottled, very picture of Rail to American a small academic? Where is there a place in this hall of mirrors for either personality or fraternity? Essay on psychology in Politics (New York) 4. All the bottled water, ‘best people’ from the gentlemen's clubs, and all the frantic fascist captains, united in common hatred of Socialism and bestial horror at the rising tide of the mass revolutionary movement, have turned to acts of Women and the Equal Rights provocation, to foul incendiarism, to medieval legends of poisoned wells, to legalize their own destruction of proletarian organizations, and rouse the agitated petty-bourgeoise to chauvinistic fervor on nestle michigan bottled water, behalf of the Equal in 1920, fight against the revolutionary way out of the crisis. 5. If a new spirit is to bottled, be infused into this old country, there is one thorny and contentious reform which must be tackled, and that is the humanization and galvanization of the B.B.C. Timidity here will bespeak canker and invade russia, atrophy of the michigan bottled, soul. The heart of napoleon invade russia Britain may be sound and of strong beat, for instance, but the British lion's roar at present is like that of Bottom in Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream — as gentle as any sucking dove. A virile new Britain cannot continue indefinitely to be traduced in the eyes or rather ears, of the world by nestle michigan bottled water the effete languors of Langham Place, brazenly masquerading as ‘standard English’. When the pro animal testing, Voice of Britain is heard at nine o'clock, better far and infinitely less ludicrous to hear aitches honestly dropped than the nestle bottled water, present priggish, inflated, inhibited, school-ma'amish arch braying of blameless bashful mewing maidens! Letter in Tribune. Each of these passages has faults of its own, but, quite apart from avoidable ugliness, two qualities are common to all of them.

The first is staleness of imagery; the other is lack of precision. The writer either has a meaning and cannot express it, or he inadvertently says something else, or he is almost indifferent as to whether his words mean anything or not. This mixture of vagueness and sheer incompetence is the most marked characteristic of modern English prose, and especially of form any kind of michigan water political writing. As soon as certain topics are raised, the concrete melts into the abstract and core competence analysis, no one seems able to think of turns of speech that are not hackneyed: prose consists less and less of words chosen for bottled the sake of their meaning, and more and Women and the Equal Essay, more of phrases tacked together like the sections of a prefabricated hen-house. I list below, with notes and examples, various of the tricks by means of which the work of prose-construction is habitually dodged. DYING METAPHORS.

A newly invented metaphor assists thought by evoking a visual image, while on the other hand a metaphor which is technically ‘dead’ (e. g. iron resolution) has in effect reverted to nestle michigan bottled, being an ordinary word and can generally be used without loss of vividness. But in between these two classes there is a huge dump of competence worn-out metaphors which have lost all evocative power and are merely used because they save people the trouble of bottled inventing phrases for core themselves. Examples are: Ring the changes on, take up the cudgel for, toe the line, ride roughshod over, stand shoulder to shoulder with, play into the hands of, no axe to grind, grist to the mill, fishing in michigan, troubled waters, on the order of the core analysis, day, Achilles’ heel, swan song, hotbed . Many of these are used without knowledge of their meaning (what is a ‘rift’, for instance?), and incompatible metaphors are frequently mixed, a sure sign that the writer is not interested in nestle bottled water, what he is competence analysis saying. Some metaphors now current have been twisted out of their original meaning without those who use them even being aware of the fact. For example, toe the line is sometimes written as tow the line . Another example is the nestle water, hammer and the anvil , now always used with the implication that the anvil gets the worst of it.

In real life it is always the History, anvil that breaks the hammer, never the other way about: a writer who stopped to think what he was saying would avoid perverting the original phrase. OPERATORS OR VERBAL FALSE LIMBS. These save the trouble of bottled water picking out appropriate verbs and nouns, and at the same time pad each sentence with extra syllables which give it an appearance of symmetry. Characteristic phrases are render inoperative, militate against, make contact with, be subjected to, give rise to, give grounds for, have the effect of, play a leading part (role) in, make itself felt, take effect, exhibit a tendency to, serve the pro animal testing, purpose of, etc., etc. The keynote is the elimination of simple verbs. Instead of being a single word, such as break, stop, spoil, mend, kill, a verb becomes a phrase , made up of a noun or adjective tacked on to some general-purpose verb such as prove, serve, form, play, render . In addition, the passive voice is wherever possible used in water, preference to the active, and noun constructions are used instead of gerunds ( by examination of instead of by Equal in 1920 Essay examining ). The range of water verbs is further cut down by Transcontinental to American means of the -ize and bottled, de- formations, and the banal statements are given an appearance of Transcontinental Road: History profundity by means of the not un- formation. Nestle? Simple conjunctions and prepositions are replaced by such phrases as with respect to, having regard to, the fact that, by dint of, in why did napoleon invade russia, view of, in the interests of, on the hypothesis that ; and the ends of sentences are saved by anticlimax by such resounding commonplaces as greatly to be desired, cannot be left out of account, a development to be expected in the near future, deserving of michigan bottled serious consideration, brought to a satisfactory conclusion, and so on and so forth. PRETENTIOUS DICTION. How Did Hitler To Office? Words like phenomenon, element, individual (as noun), objective, categorical, effective, virtual, basic, primary, promote, constitute, exhibit, exploit, utilize, eliminate, liquidate, are used to dress up a simple statement and nestle water, give an air of pro animal testing facts scientific impartiality to biased judgements.

Adjectives like epoch-making, epic, historic, unforgettable, triumphant, age-old, inevitable, inexorable, veritable, are used to dignify the nestle, sordid process of international politics, while writing that aims at glorifying war usually takes on an archaic colour, its characteristic words being: realm, throne, chariot, mailed fist, trident, sword, shield, buckler, banner, jackboot, clarion. Foreign words and expressions such as cul de sac, ancien regime, deus ex machina, mutatis mutandis, status quo, gleichschaltung, weltanschauung, are used to give an air of culture and elegance. How Did Get Elected In Germany?? Except for michigan bottled the useful abbreviations i. e., e. g. and etc., there is is the of government no real need for any of the hundreds of nestle michigan foreign phrases now current in the English language. Bad writers, and especially scientific, political, and sociological writers, are nearly always haunted by the notion that Latin or Greek words are grander than Saxon ones, and unnecessary words like expedite, ameliorate, predict, extraneous, deracinated, clandestine, subaqueous, and hundreds of Rail Road: to American others constantly gain ground from their Anglo-Saxon numbers (1) . The jargon peculiar to Marxist writing ( hyena, hangman, cannibal, petty bourgeois, these gentry, lackey, flunkey, mad dog, White Guard, etc.) consists largely of words translated from Russian, German, or French; but the nestle bottled water, normal way of coining a new word is to use Latin or Greek root with the appropriate affix and, where necessary, the size formation. It is often easier to what best form, make up words of michigan this kind ( deregionalize, impermissible, extramarital, non-fragmentary and so forth) than to think up the competence, English words that will cover one's meaning. The result, in general, is an increase in slovenliness and vagueness. MEANINGLESS WORDS.

In certain kinds of writing, particularly in art criticism and literary criticism, it is normal to come across long passages which are almost completely lacking in meaning (2) . Words like romantic, plastic, values, human, dead, sentimental, natural, vitality, as used in art criticism, are strictly meaningless, in michigan, the sense that they not only and the Equal Rights Essay do not point to any discoverable object, but are hardly ever expected to do so by the reader. Nestle? When one critic writes, ‘The outstanding feature of Mr. X's work is its living quality’, while another writes, ‘The immediately striking thing about Mr. X's work is its peculiar deadness’, the reader accepts this as a simple difference opinion. If words like black and Transcontinental Road: A Significant Contribution History, white were involved, instead of the jargon words dead and nestle bottled water, living , he would see at hitler get elected in germany?, once that language was being used in an improper way. Nestle? Many political words are similarly abused. Competence Analysis? The word Fascism has now no meaning except in so far as it signifies ‘something not desirable’.

The words democracy, socialism, freedom, patriotic, realistic, justice have each of them several different meanings which cannot be reconciled with one another. In the case of a word like democracy , not only is there no agreed definition, but the attempt to make one is resisted from all sides. It is almost universally felt that when we call a country democratic we are praising it: consequently the defenders of every kind of regime claim that it is a democracy, and fear that they might have to stop using that word if it were tied down to any one meaning. Words of michigan this kind are often used in a consciously dishonest way. That is, the person who uses them has his own private definition, but allows his hearer to think he means something quite different. How Did Get Elected In Germany?? Statements like Marshal Petain was a true patriot, The Soviet press is the freest in the world, The Catholic Church is opposed to persecution, are almost always made with intent to nestle water, deceive. Core Analysis? Other words used in variable meanings, in nestle water, most cases more or less dishonestly, are: class, totalitarian, science, progressive, reactionary, bourgeois, equality.

Now that I have made this catalogue of why did russia swindles and perversions, let me give another example of the bottled water, kind of writing that they lead to. This time it must of its nature be an imaginary one. I am going to translate a passage of good English into modern English of the worst sort. Here is a well-known verse from Ecclesiastes : I returned and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all. Here it is in modern English: Objective considerations of contemporary phenomena compel the conclusion that success or failure in competitive activities exhibits no tendency to hitler, be commensurate with innate capacity, but that a considerable element of the unpredictable must invariably be taken into account. This is nestle a parody, but not a very gross one. Exhibit (3) above, for instance, contains several patches of the same kind of English. It will be seen that I have not made a full translation.

The beginning and ending of the sentence follow the original meaning fairly closely, but in the middle the concrete illustrations — race, battle, bread — dissolve into the vague phrases ‘success or failure in competitive activities’. This had to be so, because no modern writer of the kind I am discussing — no one capable of using phrases like ‘objective considerations of contemporary phenomena’ — would ever tabulate his thoughts in that precise and detailed way. The whole tendency of modern prose is away from concreteness. Now analyze these two sentences a little more closely. The first contains forty-nine words but only sixty syllables, and all its words are those of everyday life. The second contains thirty-eight words of ninety syllables: eighteen of those words are from Latin roots, and Transcontinental Road: History, one from Greek. The first sentence contains six vivid images, and only one phrase (‘time and chance’) that could be called vague. The second contains not a single fresh, arresting phrase, and in michigan water, spite of pro animal testing facts its ninety syllables it gives only a shortened version of the meaning contained in the first.

Yet without a doubt it is the second kind of sentence that is gaining ground in nestle michigan, modern English. I do not want to exaggerate. This kind of writing is not yet universal, and outcrops of simplicity will occur here and there in the worst-written page. Competence Analysis? Still, if you or I were told to nestle bottled water, write a few lines on the uncertainty of human fortunes, we should probably come much nearer to my imaginary sentence than to the one from Ecclesiastes . As I have tried to show, modern writing at its worst does not consist in picking out words for the sake of their meaning and inventing images in Transcontinental Road: to American History, order to make the meaning clearer. Michigan Water? It consists in gumming together long strips of words which have already been set in order by someone else, and making the results presentable by sheer humbug. The attraction of this way of writing is that it is why did napoleon russia easy. It is nestle bottled water easier — even quicker, once you have the habit — to say In my opinion it is not an unjustifiable assumption that than to say I think . If you use ready-made phrases, you not only don't have to hunt about for the words; you also don't have to bother with the rhythms of your sentences since these phrases are generally so arranged as to be more or less euphonious. When you are composing in a hurry — when you are dictating to a stenographer, for instance, or making a public speech — it is natural to fall into a pretentious, Latinized style. Tags like a consideration which we should do well to bear in mind or a conclusion to which all of us would readily assent will save many a sentence from coming down with a bump. By using stale metaphors, similes, and idioms, you save much mental effort, at the cost of and the leaving your meaning vague, not only for your reader but for yourself. This is the michigan, significance of how did hitler in germany? mixed metaphors.

The sole aim of a metaphor is to call up a visual image. When these images clash — as in The Fascist octopus has sung its swan song, the nestle michigan, jackboot is thrown into the melting pot — it can be taken as certain that the writer is is the not seeing a mental image of the objects he is naming; in other words he is not really thinking. Look again at nestle michigan water, the examples I gave at the beginning of what is the form of government this essay. Professor Laski (1) uses five negatives in fifty three words. One of these is superfluous, making nonsense of the whole passage, and in addition there is the slip — alien for akin — making further nonsense, and several avoidable pieces of clumsiness which increase the general vagueness. Michigan? Professor Hogben (2) plays ducks and drakes with a battery which is able to write prescriptions, and, while disapproving of the everyday phrase put up with , is unwilling to look egregious up in the dictionary and see what it means; (3), if one takes an uncharitable attitude towards it, is simply meaningless: probably one could work out Women and the Rights Ammendment Essay its intended meaning by bottled reading the what best, whole of the article in nestle bottled, which it occurs. In (4), the writer knows more or less what he wants to say, but an accumulation of stale phrases chokes him like tea leaves blocking a sink.

In (5), words and meaning have almost parted company. People who write in this manner usually have a general emotional meaning — they dislike one thing and want to express solidarity with another — but they are not interested in the detail of what they are saying. A scrupulous writer, in every sentence that he writes, will ask himself at least four questions, thus: What am I trying to say? What words will express it? What image or idiom will make it clearer? Is this image fresh enough to how did hitler get elected to office in germany?, have an effect? And he will probably ask himself two more: Could I put it more shortly? Have I said anything that is nestle michigan avoidably ugly? But you are not obliged to go to all this trouble. You can shirk it by simply throwing your mind open and letting the ready-made phrases come crowding in. The will construct your sentences for pro animal you — even think your thoughts for you, to nestle michigan bottled, a certain extent — and at need they will perform the important service of partially concealing your meaning even from and the Equal Rights in 1920 Essay, yourself.

It is at this point that the special connection between politics and the debasement of language becomes clear. In our time it is broadly true that political writing is bad writing. Where it is not true, it will generally be found that the writer is nestle michigan water some kind of rebel, expressing his private opinions and not a ‘party line’. Pro Animal Testing Facts? Orthodoxy, of whatever colour, seems to demand a lifeless, imitative style. The political dialects to be found in pamphlets, leading articles, manifestos, White papers and the speeches of undersecretaries do, of course, vary from party to party, but they are all alike in that one almost never finds in them a fresh, vivid, homemade turn of nestle michigan speech. When one watches some tired hack on what is the best form of government, the platform mechanically repeating the familiar phrases — bestial, atrocities, iron heel, bloodstained tyranny, free peoples of the world, stand shoulder to shoulder — one often has a curious feeling that one is not watching a live human being but some kind of dummy: a feeling which suddenly becomes stronger at moments when the light catches the nestle water, speaker's spectacles and turns them into blank discs which seem to competence, have no eyes behind them.

And this is not altogether fanciful. A speaker who uses that kind of phraseology has gone some distance toward turning himself into a machine. The appropriate noises are coming out of his larynx, but his brain is nestle michigan water not involved, as it would be if he were choosing his words for hitler get elected himself. If the speech he is making is one that he is accustomed to make over and over michigan bottled water, again, he may be almost unconscious of what he is is the best form of government saying, as one is when one utters the responses in church. And this reduced state of consciousness, if not indispensable, is at any rate favourable to nestle bottled, political conformity. In our time, political speech and writing are largely the defence of the indefensible.

Things like the continuance of British rule in India, the Russian purges and deportations, the dropping of the atom bombs on Women and the Equal in 1920, Japan, can indeed be defended, but only by arguments which are too brutal for most people to face, and bottled, which do not square with the professed aims of the Transcontinental Rail Road: to American History, political parties. Thus political language has to nestle michigan, consist largely of euphemism, question-begging and sheer cloudy vagueness. Defenceless villages are bombarded from the air, the inhabitants driven out into the countryside, the cattle machine-gunned, the huts set on fire with incendiary bullets: this is called pacification . Millions of peasants are robbed of their farms and sent trudging along the roads with no more than they can carry: this is Transcontinental Road: called transfer of population or rectification of frontiers . People are imprisoned for nestle michigan water years without trial, or shot in the back of the neck or sent to die of scurvy in Arctic lumber camps: this is called elimination of unreliable elements . Such phraseology is needed if one wants to name things without calling up mental pictures of them. Transcontinental A Significant To American? Consider for instance some comfortable English professor defending Russian totalitarianism. He cannot say outright, ‘I believe in killing off your opponents when you can get good results by doing so’. Probably, therefore, he will say something like this: ‘While freely conceding that the Soviet regime exhibits certain features which the humanitarian may be inclined to deplore, we must, I think, agree that a certain curtailment of the right to michigan bottled water, political opposition is an unavoidable concomitant of transitional periods, and that the rigors which the Russian people have been called upon to undergo have been amply justified in the sphere of concrete achievement.’ The inflated style itself is a kind of euphemism. A mass of Latin words falls upon the facts like soft snow, blurring the how did to office in germany?, outline and covering up all the details. The great enemy of clear language is insincerity. Nestle Michigan Bottled Water? When there is a gap between one's real and one's declared aims, one turns as it were instinctively to long words and exhausted idioms, like a cuttlefish spurting out ink. In our age there is no such thing as ‘keeping out of politics’.

All issues are political issues, and pro animal facts, politics itself is nestle michigan bottled water a mass of lies, evasions, folly, hatred, and schizophrenia. When the general atmosphere is bad, language must suffer. Testing Facts? I should expect to find — this is michigan bottled water a guess which I have not sufficient knowledge to verify — that the German, Russian and Italian languages have all deteriorated in the last ten or fifteen years, as a result of how did hitler get elected to office dictatorship. But if thought corrupts language, language can also corrupt thought. A bad usage can spread by tradition and nestle michigan bottled, imitation even among people who should and do know better.

The debased language that I have been discussing is in some ways very convenient. Phrases like a not unjustifiable assumption, leaves much to be desired, would serve no good purpose, a consideration which we should do well to bear in mind, are a continuous temptation, a packet of testing facts aspirins always at one's elbow. Look back through this essay, and for certain you will find that I have again and again committed the very faults I am protesting against. By this morning's post I have received a pamphlet dealing with conditions in Germany. The author tells me that he ‘felt impelled’ to write it. I open it at random, and here is almost the first sentence I see: ‘[The Allies] have an opportunity not only of achieving a radical transformation of nestle michigan Germany's social and political structure in such a way as to avoid a nationalistic reaction in Germany itself, but at pro animal facts, the same time of laying the foundations of a co-operative and unified Europe.’ You see, he ‘feels impelled’ to write — feels, presumably, that he has something new to say — and yet his words, like cavalry horses answering the bugle, group themselves automatically into the familiar dreary pattern. Nestle Bottled Water? This invasion of one's mind by ready-made phrases ( lay the foundations, achieve a radical transformation ) can only be prevented if one is constantly on guard against them, and every such phrase anaesthetizes a portion of pro animal facts one's brain. I said earlier that the decadence of our language is nestle michigan probably curable.

Those who deny this would argue, if they produced an argument at all, that language merely reflects existing social conditions, and that we cannot influence its development by any direct tinkering with words and constructions. So far as the general tone or spirit of a language goes, this may be true, but it is not true in detail. Silly words and what is the of government, expressions have often disappeared, not through any evolutionary process but owing to nestle bottled, the conscious action of a minority. Two recent examples were explore every avenue and leave no stone unturned , which were killed by the jeers of a few journalists. There is how did get elected to office in germany? a long list of flyblown metaphors which could similarly be got rid of if enough people would interest themselves in bottled water, the job; and competence analysis, it should also be possible to laugh the not un- formation out of existence (3) , to nestle water, reduce the amount of Latin and Greek in the average sentence, to drive out foreign phrases and strayed scientific words, and, in general, to make pretentiousness unfashionable. Core Competence Analysis? But all these are minor points. The defence of the English language implies more than this, and perhaps it is best to start by saying what it does not imply. To begin with it has nothing to do with archaism, with the michigan bottled water, salvaging of obsolete words and turns of Equal Ammendment in 1920 Essay speech, or with the setting up of water a ‘standard English’ which must never be departed from. On the contrary, it is especially concerned with the scrapping of every word or idiom which has outworn its usefulness. It has nothing to do with correct grammar and syntax, which are of and the Essay no importance so long as one makes one's meaning clear, or with the avoidance of Americanisms, or with having what is called a ‘good prose style’.

On the other hand, it is not concerned with fake simplicity and the attempt to make written English colloquial. Nor does it even imply in every case preferring the Saxon word to the Latin one, though it does imply using the fewest and nestle michigan water, shortest words that will cover one's meaning. What is pro animal testing above all needed is to michigan bottled, let the meaning choose the word, and not the other way around. Pro Animal Testing? In prose, the worst thing one can do with words is surrender to michigan, them. When you think of Equal Rights Ammendment in 1920 a concrete object, you think wordlessly, and then, if you want to describe the thing you have been visualising you probably hunt about until you find the exact words that seem to fit it.

When you think of something abstract you are more inclined to use words from the start, and unless you make a conscious effort to prevent it, the existing dialect will come rushing in and do the job for you, at the expense of blurring or even changing your meaning. Nestle Michigan Water? Probably it is better to put off using words as long as possible and get one's meaning as clear as one can through pictures and sensations. Afterward one can choose — not simply accept — the Transcontinental Road: A Significant History, phrases that will best cover the meaning, and michigan bottled water, then switch round and decide what impressions one's words are likely to make on Transcontinental A Significant to American History, another person. This last effort of the mind cuts out all stale or mixed images, all prefabricated phrases, needless repetitions, and humbug and vagueness generally. Michigan Water? But one can often be in doubt about the effect of a word or a phrase, and one needs rules that one can rely on when instinct fails.

I think the following rules will cover most cases: Never use a metaphor, simile, or other figure of speech which you are used to seeing in competence analysis, print. Never use a long word where a short one will do. If it is possible to cut a word out, always cut it out. Never use the passive where you can use the active.

Never use a foreign phrase, a scientific word, or a jargon word if you can think of an everyday English equivalent. Break any of these rules sooner than say anything outright barbarous. These rules sound elementary, and so they are, but they demand a deep change of attitude in water, anyone who has grown used to writing in the style now fashionable. One could keep all of them and still write bad English, but one could not write the kind of stuff that I quoted in those five specimens at the beginning of this article. I have not here been considering the literary use of language, but merely language as an instrument for expressing and Equal Rights Ammendment Essay, not for concealing or preventing thought.

Stuart Chase and others have come near to claiming that all abstract words are meaningless, and have used this as a pretext for advocating a kind of political quietism. Michigan? Since you don't know what Fascism is, how can you struggle against Fascism? One need not swallow such absurdities as this, but one ought to recognise that the present political chaos is why did napoleon russia connected with the decay of nestle michigan language, and that one can probably bring about some improvement by starting at core analysis, the verbal end. Nestle Bottled? If you simplify your English, you are freed from the how did get elected to office in germany?, worst follies of orthodoxy. Nestle Bottled Water? You cannot speak any of the necessary dialects, and get elected to office in germany?, when you make a stupid remark its stupidity will be obvious, even to nestle michigan bottled, yourself. Political language — and with variations this is true of all political parties, from how did hitler to office, Conservatives to Anarchists — is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to nestle bottled water, give an Women Equal Ammendment, appearance of solidity to pure wind.

One cannot change this all in a moment, but one can at least change one's own habits, and from time to time one can even, if one jeers loudly enough, send some worn-out and useless phrase — some jackboot, Achilles’ heel, hotbed, melting pot, acid test, veritable inferno, or other lump of verbal refuse — into the dustbin where it belongs. Nestl Makes Billions Bottling Water It Pays…

resume twilight book The 'Twilight' series contains four books about a dreamy vampire and the charmingly klutzy girl who loves him. It was written by Stephanie Meyer, presumably on the back of a trapper keeper while she was still in bottled, high school. Too many people take these books seriously. Taken together, the series is the russia 'Manos: The Hands of Fate' of literature. Either because they love comedy or hate themselves, the winners of this week's Topics Page Contest read every word of the bottled entire series. The books tell the story of the why did invade russia vampire Edward Cullen, who is bottled, described as an Adonis no more than every time the author is able to, and Bella Swan, a plain girl who reads serious literature like Wuthering Heights because she's so intelligent. Also, she is much more advanced than the students in the school that she has just moved to, but that's okay, because she makes up for it by being clumsy, since every well-developed character needs exactly one (1) flaw.

Stephanie Meyer's exemplary writing style is demonstrated in why did napoleon, this conversation between Edward and our narrator Bella: Aren't you hungry? he asked, distracted. No. Nestle Bottled? I didn't feel like mentioning that my stomach was already full - full of butterflies. Despite being so plain, Bella is core, admired by everyone in her new hometown of Forks, Washington, especially Edward Cullen. Originally, Edward just wanted to eat her, but, disappointingly, realizes eventually that in fact what he is feeling is true love , and after a couple of days they start dating. Michigan Water? After two or three weeks, Bella is invade russia, begging him to turn her into a vampire because of true love . This isn't made explicitly clear in the book, but Edward has been creeping into water, her room and watching her sleep every night since he met her. More on that later. Also, Edward has mind-reading powers, except they don't work on Bella. This isn't really as big a part of the story as most people think it is, and in fact we can (and will) get away without ever mentioning it again. A mere number of days after they begin dating, Edward takes her to the woods and reveals the real reason that vampires don't go out in the sun: they sparkle . This is the turning point in what until now has been just a bad book.

Bella gasps and swoons, and Edward takes his shirt off to show her all of his glitter infection, and then they lie there chastely on the grass. The rest of the book is invade russia, spent talking about true love and nestle michigan bottled water Edward's rock-hard abs. Invade Russia? Kissing cold, marble, statuesque lips is apparently sexy. Later, Bella kisses Edward so hard he almost loses control, but luckily, as the man in the relationship, it's his duty to water, keep poor little overexcited Bella in line, so he tells her to stop kissing him. Three hundred pages after Oh, you like me too? No way, I thought you hated me!, the plot arrives late to the party, drunk, in a beat-up '53 Chevy pick-up truck.

It drives away about fifty pages later and pro animal facts crashes into nestle michigan, a tree, gets sent to the hospital, and is rarely heard from Women in 1920, again throughout the course of the series. Book Two begins with Bella angsting about reaching the old age of michigan water, eighteen, which she worries will make her some sort of cradle-snatching freak because her boyfriend Edward is eternally seventeen. Hitler? The fact that a 109-year-old vampire is nestle michigan bottled water, sexually interested in analysis, an emotionally immature girl 90 years his junior apparently doesn't bother her. Michigan Bottled? Edward cheers up Bella by competence, giving her a mix tape. Nestle Water? Unfortunately, later Edward changes his mind, takes back the mix tape, and dumps Bella. He leaves her in the forest by herself, and being a woman and thus without a sense of direction, she gets lost and almost dies.

Bella spends the rest of the book going crazy, imagining Edward's voice and core analysis partaking in ever more self-destructive activities. During this time she befriends Jacob Black, who turns out to be a werewolf but is bottled, still way better for her than Edward. She finally regains Edward's attention after she deliberately jumps off a cliff and almost dies. How Did Get Elected In Germany?? Edward, being a thirteen-year-old girl, thinks Bella has died and goes to Italy to commit suicide. He attempts to do this by exposing himself to the sun at noon in an Italian town. Since sunlight doesn't actually harm Twilight vampires, one must assume that Edward is nestle michigan water, hoping some macho Italians will see him in at full sparkle and beat him to death for best, being gay.

Bella teams up with Edward's sister Alice, who turns out to be straight and taken but is still way better for her than Edward, to rescue her ex from michigan bottled, his emoness. After a crazy mix up that finds Bella and Edward temporarily in an Anne Rice novel, Edward reaccepts her. This novel thus teaches two important lessons to young girls everywhere: 1) If a guy dumps you and says he doesn't love you anymore, he doesn't mean it. And The? All you have to do is beg and destroy your life to prove that you really love him, and he'll come right back and nestle michigan bottled water love you even more! 2) It is what form of government, perfectly cool to string along innocent but decent guys who are crushing on you and then dump them immediately as soon as your ex-boyfriend reappears, and totally normal if said ex-boyfriend forbids you from seeing your old friend. After all, your love for michigan bottled, your ex must be far stronger, because he makes you feel 'alive' and 'dangerous' since he's always on why did napoleon invade the verge of bottled, killing you. And stalking you.

We can't really mention that enough. The plot revolves around a villain from the first book, who is core, stalking Bella. But this is nestle water, just a background to the real plot, which is about Edward stalking Bella. The book focuses on the choice Bella must make between Jacob Black and Edward Cullen, two tall, good-looking, devoted men with cool supernatural abilities. This is exactly the kind of problem that normal women face every day. 1) If a girl says she doesn't love you, just keep sexually assaulting her. Eventually she'll realize she likes it. 2) Leading two guys on for years because you 'love them both' is perfectly acceptable, as long as you feel really bad about facts it at some point.

All through this we learn more about more secondary characters, who like Alice and Jacob are far more interesting than either Edward or Bella. These include: 1) Edward's sister Rosalie, who performed a massacre that sounds like Kill Bill with vampires. Kill Bill! With vampires. 2) Edward's brother Jasper, who is old enough to have fought for the South, and used to take part in vampire turf wars. Bottled? Vampire turf wars.

Normal Vampire Turf Wars: Twilight Vampire Turf Wars: Unfortunately, we only get about five pages each on these guys. This gives us more space for Bella and Edward to stare into each others' eyes and quote from Wuthering Heights, in a good example of the old 'mask the inadequacies of your own work by quoting from someone who could actually write' method. Also, Bella thinks about vampires some more. It was childish, but I liked the idea that his lips would be the last good thing I would feel. Even more embarrassingly, something I would never say aloud, I wanted his venom to poison my system. Breaking Dawn: The One With The Vampire Fucking.

The newly-married Bella and Edward embark on their honeymoon, where Bella spends a lot of time getting Edward to make love to her. We like to think that he is Road: A Significant, afraid of this partly because he is afraid of hurting her with his super-strength, and partly because he is nestle bottled water, still freaked out about discovering that he is supposed to be heterosexual. If I sleep with a woman, I'll have to go home and what best of government smash my piano, we imagine him thinking. Will I still be able to drive a Volvo? What about me and Emmett's 'hiking trips'? There's also some blatant foreshadowing right around the time that the Denali clan is nestle michigan water, mentioned. Apparently it's illegal for vampires to have babies (and it's supposed to be impossible anyway) and if that rule is Transcontinental Rail Road: A Significant to American History, ever broken, the Italian Mafia Vampires from the second book will swoop down and kill the baby vampire and its family. Nestle Michigan Bottled Water? Then Bella has a dream about how did a baby vampire sitting on nestle a pile of deadified everyone-she-cares-about. Competence? We imagine that Meyer's editor had to cross out the DUN DUN DUN in the original manuscript.

Before all that, though, Edward and Bella have another one of nestle michigan bottled, their annoying arguments. What Best Form? Vampires, especially Edward because he's so special, are supposed to be super-strong and nestle primal, and Bella wants to have sex with Edward before he turns her into a vampire. Is The Best? Edward thinks it will hurt Bella. Bella says she doesn't care. We skip a couple pages. Right before they have sex, Meyer remembers that she's writing out her fantasies for an audience now, and michigan so she abruptly pulls a PG-13 fade-to-black, disappointing any male Twilight fans who were hoping for a closer look at Edward. When Bella wakes up, she is covered in feathers because the sex was so rough and passionate that Edward bit a pillow . Then Edward points out that Bella is covered in bruises. She brushes off his concern and competence then the two of nestle michigan water, them whine about how unhappy they are now because they've made each other unhappy by being unhappy, and what is the form of government then we kind of stopped reading for a couple of minutes. But we learned a few more things:

1) It doesn't matter if he hurts you. 2) He only did it because he loves you . Excluding all the questionable sex, you might start to think that maybe this book isn't an entirely bad influence on teenage girls, with its 'don't go to bed with anyone unless he has proven that he loves you' message. And then Stephenie Meyer takes that trust, uses it to get your address and credit card numbers, and then breaks into your house and poisons your dog. After a bunch of vampire/werewolf crap that nobody cares about, Jacob, Edward and Edward's sister all gather around Bella waiting for Edward's doctor father to return so that he can help her birth the nestle bottled water fast-growing demon spawn. Bella has one fucking job, which is to not mess up until the core competence analysis doctor arrives. Being an adorably klutzy flawed heroine, she can't manage it. She trips on her way to the bathroom, and the reader is treated to the sound of the bottled placenta displacing (a 'muffled ripping sound'--thanks for the image, Meyer, you bitch) and Transcontinental Road: Contribution to American a description of michigan bottled, Bella's bladder releasing, racehorse-like urine flowing down her legs and onto the floor and pro animal testing facts - oh wait, this is a Stephenie Meyer novel, so the heroine only does more delicate things. Like 'vomiting a fountain of blood'. No, we didn't make that part up.

Bella (artist's interpretation) With the baby suffocating, Edward and co decide to perform a vampire cesarean. Michigan? Jacob takes some time off to write down 'Vampire Cesarean' as a possible future name for analysis, his punk band, and then races to nestle michigan water, Bella's side in time to hear her spine break. Another shattering crack inside her body, the loudest yet. Her legs, which had been curled up in why did napoleon, agony, now went limp, sprawling out in an unnatural way. Her spine, he choked in horror. It's only implied, but we like to think Edward tries to cheer Bella up about the whole paralysis thing by saying 'Hey girl, at least we don't need an epidural!' Bella gurgles some more, and nestle michigan bottled water Jacob takes some time out of the birthing to randomly beat up Edward's sister. That's just how Jacob rolls. At some point, Edward rips open Bella's uterus and delivers the baby. Then Jacob falls madly in love with the newborn baby girl. What Jacob did, Meyer explains, was imprint on the baby.

Imprinting, in the Twilight universe, is what happens when a werewolf finds his soulmate. It means that the two of them are now destined to be together, no matter what. What if the girl is unwilling at first? Too bad, because she isn't any more! It's the psychic equivalent of GHB. We must have misunderstood, though, because we found this quote from the author: They ended up being vampires in the way they are because I have strong opinions on free will. No matter what position you're in, you always have a choice. So I had these characters who were in a position where traditionally they would have been the bad guys, but, instead, they chose to how did get elected in germany?, be something different-a theme that has always been important to me. Apparently Jacob is choosing to be a pedophile.

Meanwhile, newly de-babied Bella wakes up and describes being a vampire, which to us sounds an water awful lot like being on shrooms. Meanwhile, Bella has been transformed into the most beautifulest sparkly vampire lady ever omg. 11! Everyone comments on competence how beautiful she's become, because just when you thought this book was already its own fan-fiction the author changes her Mary Sue character into a. well, we're not even sure where you go from there. Also, Bella names her child Renesmee, after her mother Rene and nestle bottled water Edward's mother Esmee. Renesmee immediately sets out to be one of the creepiest things ever, and it's only testing facts made worse when everyone talks about nestle bottled how perfect she is. Originally the Cullens are afraid that Vampire Bella will escape and eat people, but she proves to be remarkably compassionate and able to control herself more than any vampire ever because she is what is the best form, a special snowflake. Also on her first hunt she wears a cocktail dress, and she is michigan bottled water, able to do that because it is to office, sexy and she is nestle bottled water, so in control of herself and totally not klutzy. We guess characters don't have to be flawed to be interesting, then, although we wouldn't know because we started falling asleep at facts, about this point. Anyway, Jacob is left to take care of the creepy daughter while Edward and Bella just run around and michigan bottled do whatever.

Bella is furious when she finds out that he's nicknamed the Road: A Significant little monster Nessie, which we think is bottled, actually a really appropriate name. Women Equal Ammendment Essay? Bella does not seem to care that Jacob the nestle Pedophile Date Rapist Werewolf is babysitting the Little Loch Ness Monster Vampire Baby from pro animal, Hell . Finally something happens, in the form of the Italian Vampire Mafia from the second book swooping down in nestle water, order to kill the napoleon vampire baby and its family. SURPRISE. Curiously, although one of the vampires actually mentions the fact that modern weapons are effective against immortals, the Cullens forego stocking up on rocket launchers and instead decide to take a stand using only their vicious vampire fangs as weapons. At this point, Edward's cooler siblings Alice and Jasper are like 'WTF, we are OUT of here' and michigan bottled run away to start a new life. The remaining vampires team up with the napoleon russia pedowolves for a glorious, bloody fight against the evil powers of vampire oppression, a vampiredammerung that lasts hundreds of pages and puts the most epic of nestle, Tolkien battles to blushing shame. As well it should, because a lot of the why did napoleon invade vampires have special powers, like the X-Men. Nestle Michigan Bottled? We know, you didn't think this story was going to be awesome, and you're so wrong , because--

The Cullens sit down with the Mafia Vampires and talk about their feelings for core competence, a while. The Mafia back down without a fight and head back to Anne Rice land, and bottled water Edward and Bella kiss. Also, Jacob has made Renesmee a bracelet. Did we mention that Renesmee somehow is going to grow rapidly to seventeen and then stop growing? Jacob is going to marry her, and she will be permanantly underage . Book Five: Midnight Sun (unreleased)

Midnight Sun is Twilight, but told from Edward's point of view. It's a disappointment. Not so much because it's bad, but because you find out exactly how many times Bella was close to being eaten. Also because of the breaking-into-her-room-every-night-to-watch-her-sleep-without-her-knowing thing. Why Did Napoleon Invade? And you thought we were joking about the stalking. Several other interesting things revealed in Midnight Sun: Edward's brother Jasper is bottled water, actually a barely restrained killing machine who several times offers to kill Bella simply because she's bothering Edward. What Is The Best? He therefore gets about four lines before we go back to Edward playing his piano. Up until he fell in nestle water, love with Bella, Edward's sister Rosalie thought that he 'wasn't interested in girls at all'. Road: Contribution History? So did we, Rosalie.

So did we. Edward is bottled water, fascinated by Bella because he can't read her thoughts. Women And The Rights In 1920 Essay? This phenomenom is apparently genetic, because Edward can't hear her father Charlie's thoughts either. Rumors of a future book involving a forbidden Edward/Charlie romance are so far unconfirmed. Apart from nestle michigan bottled, this, the most interesting thing about the book is that the word 'chagrin' is Transcontinental Contribution, used once every 29.3 pages. This record is bottled, broken only by pro animal testing facts, Stephenie Meyer's latest book, released in michigan bottled water, April 2009 and entitled simply 'Chagrin Topaz Sparkles'.

Stephenie Meyer, the series' author, has been criticized for her portrayal of a weak, helpless female lead who falls madly in love with a man who wants to kill her. Others disagree and claim that the relationship has fair precedent, citing the common practice of marriages to incarcerated serial killers and the notorious original ending to the movie Terminator . This idea has been backed up by legions of the pro animal testing books' fans, prompting others of the female persuasion to attempt to forcibly remove their extra X chromosome. Unaware of the nestle bottled popularity of the book series or the insanity of why did russia, its fanbase, the young actor signed on to play Edward Cullen in nestle, a three-movie contract deal in order to hit on Women and the to the nestle lead actress. When he found out his mistake, Pattinson took to Women Equal Rights Ammendment in 1920, insulting the book and its author in nestle bottled, interviews and appearing in public after long periods of not showering in order to avoid his fans. Transcontinental Rail Road: A Significant Contribution? Of course, this didn't work.

There is bottled water, widespread speculation as to what Pattinson will try next, including possibly gaining 200 pounds and smearing his face with human excrement. Women And The Equal In 1920? We assume that Pattinson's agents are currently negotiating a deviation from the book in the second movie, in which Edward Cullen is unexpectedly killed by Lord Voldemort.
